General Tikka Khan

General Tikka Khan was born in the village of Jochha Mamdot (Tehsil Kallar Seydan)  in 1915 (in what was then British India). He was a graduate of the Indian Military Academy at Derahdun, and was commissioned in 1939.
He fought in world war 2 as part of the British indian army, and was injured on multiple occasions during the fighting. He was in action in numerous battles on both the Burmese and Italian fronts. He was also a prisoner of war for more than two years during the war, before he and his fellow troops escaped from their captors.
After his return from World war 2, he was an instructor at the Indian Military Academy at Dehradun for some time. During the Partition of India, Major Tikka Khan remained in what is now Pakistan (Jochha Mamdot Tehsil Kallar Seydan), and became an officer in the Pakistan army.
He was promoted to the rank of Major General in 1962.

    1. Battle of Chawinda 1965: The Largest Tank Battle after WWII.
Gen Tikka Khan was commanding and facing daunting/ferocious attack from Indian tanks in huge numbers. General Tikka had only one strategic/option in the light of a massive onslaught from Indian tanks and limited number of anti-tank missile with Pak army to hit the target without wasting short supply of missiles. Gen. Tikka volunteered to wrap a missile and lie before oncoming tank and he also invited volunteers to act accordingly. He had sufficient soldier volunteers to offer their sacrifice. The General was asked to only guide, command them and save himself to the end. The strategy succeeded and after first few rows of tanks were blown to smithereens/destroyed (without any miss) by the lion hearted Mujahids of Pakistan Army, remaining enemy soldiers had no option but to back off resulting in to would be defeat to resounding/fulgent victory of Pakistan Army and the Chawinda front remained with Pakistan armed forces.
